KNIGHTS WIN BALLISTIC SUMMER CUP

Again playing as a U19 team, the Knights took on the strongest field of the summer in the Ballistic United Summer Cup.  16 top 50 teams competed, with the Knights prevailing over the host Ballistic United team 2-1, Newark Barcelona 3-1, Sonoma County Alliance 3-2 and Marin FC 3-1 in the championship game.  The final game was particularly exciting as both teams challenged throughout the match. 

 

NATIONAL CUP

The Knights played well in the Modesto Regional, winning group play games by scores of 5-0, 4-1 & 4-1.  In the regional final, however, shots that were going in during the early games failed to find the net and the Knights finished 2nd, losing 2-1.

 

KNIGHTS SPRING TOURNAMENTS

In their first two tournaments of the Spring, the Knights won the Concord Cup, giving up only 4 goals in 4 games while scoring 24.  In the Cerritos Memorial Challenge Cup, the Knights advanced to the quarterfinals before losing 1-0.

 

KNIGHTS FINISH SECOND.

The Knights had a successful finish in Division 1 Silver, ending the season in 2nd place with a record of 5 Wins 3 Draws & 2 Losses.  Parity was the word of the year in league, with the final table  determined on the final day.  1st and 2nd rested on the results of the penultimate game with Richmond, which the Knights lost to eventual league title holders 2-1.  League results at the Golden State Soccer League web site.
